John D. Grenier, P.E.

John & his wife Nicole enjoy being active in the Green Mountains of VT

John is a native Vermonter who grew up in Waterbury and worked in the family business throughout high school. He graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 1999 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Wanting to return to Vermont he took a job at Dynapower Corp. designing industrial equipment. He gained valuable experience with utility construction when he left to work for Verizon Communications in Rutland, White River Junction, and Newport, Vermont.

In 2004 John attended UVM to earn his Masters Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering and start working again in the family business. In 2006 John became a Licensed Professional Engineer with the State of Vermont.

Working with Charlie, John has distinguished himself in his work with Stormwater design and permitting, Erosion Control, and Septic Design. John is committed to working with his staff to provide design and permitting services to our customers, municipalities, and contractors in Central Vermont. In 2011 John took over day-to-day operations allowing Charlie to concentrate on other projects and enjoy more time off.

When not working, John volunteers as a member of the Waterbury Selectboard and enjoys downhill skiing, hiking, mountain biking and fishing.
